Guidelines and Eligibility

This award is for an outstanding new arts, cultural or creative work by an organisation, presented for the first time in South Australia between 1 July 2025 – 30 June 2026. 

Nominated works and events must have premiered in South Australia between 1 July 2025 and 30 June 2026.

Nominees must reside or be based in South Australia OR have been a resident or based in South Australia during a period of major professional achievement or development.

Nominations can be made in up to two award categories for a single event or project. Each nomination should address the specific category in which it is being considered.

Please refer to the Nomination Guidelines and Nomination Checklist when preparing a submission.

This award is open to work that premiered between 1 July 2025 – 30 June 2026 by: 

  • arts, cultural and creative industries 
  • community organisations
  • local and state government
  • not-for-profit sector
  • private enterprise

Nominations for 2026 Ruby Awards close on Wednesday 12 August, 2026.

Nominations close at 5pm ACST. Late submissions will not be accepted. Support material and budget documents will not be accepted after the closing date.
